Better Than Ezra “Road to Mardi Gras” Tour

If you don’t already know Better Than Ezra, they are the alternative rock band out of New Orleans with million-selling hits like “Good” and “A lifetime“. They sell out venues all over the country to adoring fans. Better Than Ezra was formed in 1988 by its four original members- vocalist and guitarist Kevin Griffin; Joel Rundell, the lead guitarist; bassist Tom Drummond; and drummer, Cary Bonnecaze, who was later replaced by Michael Jerome.
The members of Better Than Ezra have invited their loyal fans along for the “Krewe of Rocckus“. This will be a Mardi Gras weekend “destination event.” Fans will spend a long weekend of parades, private viewing stands, dining, drinking, gambling and concerts with the band as their hosts. The Krewe of Rocckus kicks off on Thursday, March 3. Chef John Besh will host a welcome brunch at Harrah’s casino the morning of Friday, March 4. That evening, after watching parades from a private viewing stand, guests will attend singer-songwriter Pat Green’s show at the House of Blues.
The band’s “Road to Mardi Gras” tour concludes at the House of Blues on December 30-31. After 20 years the band is still going strong and giving their fans something to get excited about like the “Krewe of Rocckus”.  Go to kreweofrocckus.com for more info.
Their tour dates are available online and for those fans living in New York they will be performing at Webster Hall on Saturday December 11th. Just check out The Bowery Presents website for tickets.
Better Than Ezra puts on an exciting, entertaining, show where the crowd is involved the whole time. I went to their recent show in Saint Petersburg, Florida and experienced that first hand.
Check out the videos below. Yes me and my sister were obnoxiously singing in the background. Sorry about that!
