Me and Amos Lee

Amos Lee is a singer-songwriter from Philadelphia, PA. His musical style encompasses jazz, folk, and soul. He has released three albums including Amos Lee, Supply and Demand, and Last Days at the Lodge. He will be debuting his fourth album, Mission Bell, on January 25th, 2011 and his musicals guests are to include Willie Nelson, Lucinda Williams, and James Gadson, just to name a few. He will be opening up for the Dave Matthews Band on November 2nd, 2010. You can also see his full tour schedule on his website

I was lucky enough to catch an inside look at Amos Lee rehearsing with his band before his live show at Hiro Ballroom in the video below.

It was a sold out show at Hiro Ballroom.

At the end of the night, when the show was over and only the staff were lingering around, Amos came up to the bar and asked for a beer. The beer cooler was locked up so we poured him a shot of Jameson instead. We made some small talk, mainly about his hometown in Philadelphia, and let him know how much we enjoyed the show. Just from our brief conversation, I found him to be a very humble and grateful person. And he did not seem shy at all, but maybe it was the whiskey talking.
